Our Intent

We’re Christian faith based so we strive to treat every person with warmth and respect, valuing them as a unique individual

Deliver our services in a manner that considers participant’s dignity, privacy and independence

Aim for the best outcome for participants in developing and maintaining meaningful relationships through working with participants, their Whanau and carers

Supporting each participant’s achievements by focusing on their abilities and aspirations

Being at all times welcoming,            non-judgemental and encouraging.

Breaking down barriers that hinder participation in the wider community

What We Offer

Respect … Relationships … Rapport

At Pinnacle we aim to:

  • Offer individualised activities that value and respect a participant’s choices and aspirations.
  • Maximise every opportunity in our community
  • Encourage ongoing development, to keep growing and learning
  • Develop confidence to have and use their ‘voice’.
  • Build relationships.
  • Inspire positive change.
  • Break down barriers at every level that ‘disable’ rather than ‘enable’.
  • Experience life by being out in the local community, offering to it friendship, skills and abilities.

Support

Our support in this region is immense and we are extremely grateful for it.
Individual sponsors, volunteers and participant’s families give generously of their time and money, alongside local businesses and organisations.

Eligibility and Service Access

Eligibility

Service Access

We serve young people in the Nelson/Tasman region who have left school and for whom full-time employment is not an option.

Access to our services is through referral either from peer recommendation or from a transition officer at a local school or agency

Community Involvement

Service Hours

We encourage participants to be among the community wherever possible as this benefits both the individual and the community.

Our goal is for each participant to have a work component during their week as this brings a real distinction and value to their life. This is only possible with the local businesses partnering with us to provide the opportunity to our participants.

Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays)   8:45am to 3:15pm

We’re based at 452 Lower Queen Street, Richmond
